How do you make a video for social media?
Short answer
You make a social media video by editing a short phone video with captions and text, or by letting AI create a clip from a description. In PrimaSocial you create a video post for a funnel with automatic captions and publish it straight to your channels; separately, the Video Studio lets you cut clips, have AI create a clip and finish with a brand outro.
How it works
Choose your approach
Want a video that goes live straight away with captions and a link to your funnel? Create a video post for that funnel. Want to cut clips or create them with AI outside a funnel? Use the Video Studio in the menu.
Create a video post for your funnel
Go to Funnels & posts, open a video funnel and click Create video post. Add your video; PrimaSocial transcribes the spoken words, which can take up to a minute.
Check the captions
Under Check the captions you fix misheard words. Under Caption styling choose the position, font, colour and weight, then click Create preview.
Publish the video to your channels
Fill in the text above the video, choose your channels and click Post now. You can post videos to Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, X and YouTube; TikTok and YouTube are video only.
Or work in the Video Studio
In the menu, go to Video Studio. Upload your own clips or click Create with AI to have a clip created or edited from a text instruction. Silence detection removes silences automatically, and you can have a script (teleprompter text) generated.
Finish and download
Add text layers, join clips together and finish with a brand outro. Download the result; you can then use it as your own video in a post.
Frequently asked questions
Can I make videos without AI?
Yes. You can upload your own videos and photos and use them for a post or funnel.
Who can use the Video Studio?
The Video Studio is meant for owners and admins. A team member sees a message that they do not have access.
What if no speech is found in my video?
Choose Continue without captions. The sound simply stays in your video.
